Night Life In Bucharest, Romania
The capital city of Romania (Bucharest) is the largest city in the country and one of the most influential in all of Eastern Europe. It is a younger capital city, but this is a good thing. It means that Bucharest has had the time to see how other capitals were structured and follow their good points. It also means that entertainment in Bucharest is a younger, hipper type of entertainment than may be found in other cities.
It is extremely populous, with over two million residents. It is also a place where the economy continues to flourish. Many trends set come from Bucharest and from the fast-paced, fashionable lifestyle there.
It is also popular with tourists. Bucharest has the benefit of being surrounded by water, though it is a land-locked city. There are many nearby lakes and several rivers, so there are endless options for water sports, sailing, yachting, and swimming. It is a beautiful place with several legendary official gardens. This is where many artists have (and continue to) find inspiration.
Bucharest is a prime example of good outside life, be it dining al fresco, camping, or just enjoying the scenery. It has great picnic locations and plenty of squares to people-watch. This is because the weather is very temperate. On occasion the area can get a storm, but it is generally warm all year round and rains softly and occasionally. If you are one who does not want to stay in your hotel room and watch television, Bucharest is a good option.
The transportation is some of the best in Romania. This allows you to go in and out of the city as you wish. Few would scarcely be able to resist a trip to Romania without seeing Transylvania and the castle of Vlad The Impaler. These can be short excursions that companies in the city provide. They will have you back in time to start your night life there. You can also go on many ‘Dracula’ tours for the literature lovers.
The area, as with most great cities, has plenty of dance troupes and theaters. Bucharest is slightly different, though, as one of the acting companies is the State Jewish Theater. Few other capitals offer such diversity. There are plenty of classical orchestras to attend, but the night scene might be more amusing. Romania, as with many other Eastern European countries, can be up to thirty years behind the music scene. Some clubs promote more modern music, but many areas and local bands are still focused on disco.
There are many festivals to attend, if you enjoy festivals. Chinese New Year is a new tradition they have started celebrating publicly. There is also a large movement and celebration for gay rights. It is not a quiet little capital, though crime rate is low and happiness is high.
If you want to search for a really cheap hotels on the weekend, you can search for many weekend hotels online that can help book you a room. The net is one of the best ways to plan a vacation.
