Finding Great Short Breaks In Wales

by Arthur Townlands

Wales is a truly wonderful little country and is particularly distinct in that although part the UK, it has a distinct culture of its own and is also home to one of the most beautiful scenery in Europe. You will also find no shortage of quaint historic towns and local cultures that are still very much alive. Indeed, you will find that many people in Wales speak Welsh as their first language.

If you want to get away from cities such as London, then Wales is also a convenient location. Only about two hours away from large airports like Heathrow, it is not difficult to get to and is certainly rewarding destination to visit with something to offer all sorts of tourists.

Wales also has a very rich history with a very unique flavour to it. With many myths and legends having their roots in Wales, it is the homeland to a considerable aspect of culture found around the world. It also has the advantage of being a convenient location, not difficult to get it from England and being only two hours away from Heathrow Airport.

Finding a short break in Wales isn’t that hard and although in some respects it may be an underestimated tourist destination, you should be able to find plenty of tour offices in the United Kingdom and various other countries which offer short breaks to Wales. Wales is best seen by using your own car or hiring a car when you get there. You can also see certain areas of the country on foot if you are into hiking.

There are many popular places to visit in Wales and if you’re looking for a beach holiday with some of the most pleasant scenery in the country, then Pembrokeshire should not be missed. If you’re looking for particularly impressive nature including beautiful mountains and great camping and hiking holidays, Snowdonia is certainly not to be missed.
